Thank God for the Cross of Christ and All Its Benefits

Thanksgiving 4.19 | KJV

For the full satisfaction which Christ made to the justice of God for the sin of man by the blood of his cross, for the purchases, victories, and triumphs of the cross, and for all the precious benefits which flow to me from the dying of the Lord Jesus.

Herein indeed God commendeth his love to me, in that while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me, Romans 5:8(KJV) that I might be reconciled to him by the death of his Son. Romans 5:10(KJV) Herein is love, not that I loved God, but that he loved me, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for my sins, 1 John 4:10(KJV) and not for mine only but for the sins of the whole world; 1 John 2:2(KJV) that he tasted death for every man, Hebrews 2:9(KJV) that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Hebrews 2:14(KJV)

I bless thee that by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified; Hebrews 10:14(KJV) that he hath finished transgression, made an end of sin, made reconciliation for iniquity, and hath brought in an everlasting righteousness. Daniel 9:24(KJV)

That he hath redeemed me from the curse of the law by being made a curse for me. Galatians 3:13(KJV)

That what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God hath done by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, who by a sacrifice for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. Romans 8:3(KJV)

That he was wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities, and that the chastisement of my peace was upon him, and by his stripes I am healed: And that the Lord having laid upon him the iniquity of all his people, Isaiah 53:5-6(KJV) it pleased the Lord to bruise him and put him to grief. Isaiah 53:10(KJV)

Thank God for the Cross of Christ and All Its Benefits

Thanksgiving 4.19 | NASB

For the full satisfaction which He made to the justice of God for the sin of man by the blood of His cross, for the purchases, victories, and triumphs of the cross, and for all the precious benefits which flow to me from the dying of the Lord Jesus.

Herein indeed God demonstrates His own love toward me, in that while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me, Romans 5:8(NASB) that I might be reconciled to Him through the death of His Son. Romans 5:10(NASB) In this is love, not that I loved God, but that He loved me and sent His Son to be the propitiation for my sins; 1 John 4:10(NASB) and not for mine only, but for those of the whole world; 1 John 2:2(NASB) that He tasted death for everyone, Hebrews 2:9(NASB) that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. Hebrews 2:14(NASB)

I bless You that by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified; Hebrews 10:14(NASB) that He has finished transgression, made an end of sin, made atonement for iniquity, and has brought in an everlasting righteousness. Daniel 9:24(NASB)

That He has redeemed me from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for me. Galatians 3:13(NASB)

That what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God has done by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, who by a sacrifice for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. Romans 8:3(NASB)

That He was pierced through for my transgressions and crushed for my iniquities; that the chastening for my well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging I am healed; and that the LORD, having caused the iniquity of all His people to fall on Him, Isaiah 53:5-6(NASB) was pleased to crush Him and put Him to grief. Isaiah 53:10(NASB)

Thank God for the Cross of Christ and All Its Benefits

Thanksgiving 4.19 | NIV

For the full satisfaction which Christ made to the justice of God for the sin of man by the blood of his cross, for the purchases, victories, and triumphs of the cross, and for all the precious benefits which flow to me from the dying of the Lord Jesus.

Herein indeed God demonstrates his own love for me: while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me, Romans 5:8(NIV) that I might be reconciled to God through the death of his Son. Romans 5:10(NIV) This is love: not that I loved God, but that he loved me and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for my sins, 1 John 4:10(NIV) and not only for mine but also for the sins of the whole world; 1 John 2:2(NIV) that he tasted death for everyone, Hebrews 2:9(NIV) so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death – that is, the devil. Hebrews 2:14(NIV)

I bless you that by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy; Hebrews 10:14(NIV) that he has finished transgression, put an end to sin, atoned for wickedness, and brought in everlasting righteousness. Daniel 9:24(NIV)

That he has redeemed me from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for me. Galatians 3:13(NIV)

That what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God has done by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man, who by a sacrifice for sin, condemned sin in sinful man. Romans 8:3(NIV)

That he was pierced for my transgressions and crushed for my iniquities; that the punishment that brought me peace was upon him, and by his wounds I am healed; and that the LORD having laid on him the iniquity of all his people, Isaiah 53:5-6(NIV) it was his will to crush him and cause him to suffer. Isaiah 53:10(NIV)

Thank God for the Great Encouragement Christ Gave to Poor Sinners to Come to Him

Thanksgiving 4.18 | ESV

For the great encouragement Christ gave to poor sinners to come to him.

I bless you that Jesus Christ came not to call the righteous, but sinners (such as myself) to repentance, Matthew 9:13(ESV) and had power on earth to forgive sins; Matthew 9:6(ESV) that he came to save his people from their sins, Matthew 1:21(ESV) and is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world; John 1:29(ESV) and that he is (to his honor, not to his reproach) a friend to tax collectors and sinners. Matthew 11:19(ESV)

I thank you for the gracious invitation he gave to those who are weary and heavy laden to come to him for rest: Matthew 11:28(ESV) And for the assurance he has given that whoever comes to him, he will never cast out. John 6:37(ESV)

That he made a gracious offer: that if anyone thirsts they might come to him and drink. John 7:37(ESV)

Thank God for Christ’s Holy Life, Excellent Doctrine, and Glorious Miracles

Thanksgiving 4.17 | KJV

For his holy life, his excellent doctrine, and the glorious miracles he wrought to confirm his doctrine.

I bless thee for the assurance I have that he is a teacher come from God, since no man could do those miracles which he did, except God were with him. John 3:2(KJV)

That thou hast in these last days spoken by thy Son, Hebrews 1:2(KJV) whose doctrine was not his, but his that sent him; John 7:16(KJV) and he spoke as one having authority; Matthew 7:29(KJV) and that I am encouraged to come and learn of him, because he is meek and lowly in heart, and in learning of him I shall find rest to my soul. Matthew 11:29(KJV)

I bless thee that he hath left me an example, that I should follow his steps, in that he did not sin, neither was guile found in his mouth; and when he was reviled, he reviled not again; 1 Peter 2:21-23(KJV) and his meat and drink was to do the will of his Father, John 4:34(KJV) in that he was holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners. Hebrews 7:26(KJV) O that I may be armed with the same mind, 1 Peter 4:1(KJV) and that as he was, so I may be in this world; 1 John 4:17(KJV) and that I may so walk even as he walked. 1 John 2:6(KJV)

I bless thee that the works which he did, the same bore witness of him, that the Father had sent him, John 5:36(KJV) that by his power the blind received their sight, the lame walked, the lepers were cleansed, the deaf heard, the dead were raised up, and the poor had the gospel preached to them, Matthew 11:5(KJV) and even the winds and the sea obeyed him, Matthew 8:27(KJV) for which I glorify the God of Israel. Matthew 15:31(KJV) Doubtless this was the Son of God. Matthew 27:54(KJV)

Thanksgiving 4.17 | NASB

For His holy life, His excellent doctrine, and the glorious miracles He wrought to confirm His doctrine.

I bless You for the assurance I have that Jesus has come from God as a teacher, since no one could do those signs which he did unless God was with him. John 3:2(NASB)

That You have in these last days spoken in Your Son, Hebrews 1:2(NASB) whose teaching was not His, but His who sent Him; John 7:16(NASB) and He spoke as one having authority; Matthew 7:29(NASB) and that I am encouraged to come and learn from Him, because He is gentle and humble in heart, and in learning of Him I will find rest for my soul. Matthew 11:29(NASB)

I bless You that He has left me an example for me to follow in His steps, in that He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; 1 Peter 2:21-23(NASB) and His food and drink was to do the will of His Father, John 4:34(NASB) in that He was holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners. Hebrews 7:26(NASB) O that I may be armed with the same purpose, 1 Peter 4:1(NASB) and that as He was, so also may I be in this world; 1 John 4:17(NASB) and that I may walk in the same manner as He walked. 1 John 2:6(NASB)

I bless You that the works which He did testify about Him, that the Father has sent Him; John 5:36(NASB) that by His power the blind received their sight, the lame walked, the lepers were cleansed, the deaf heard, the dead were raised up, and the poor had the gospel preached to them, Matthew 11:5(NASB) and even the winds and the sea obeyed Him, Matthew 8:27(NASB) for which I glorify the God of Israel. Matthew 15:31(NASB) Truly this was the Son of God! Matthew 27:54(NASB)
