Thanksgiving 4.13 | NASB

For the early and ancient indication of the gracious design concerning fallen man.

I bless You that as soon as man had sinned, it was graciously promised that the seed of the woman should break the serpent’s head; Genesis 3:15(NASB) and that in the Old Testament sacrifices, Jesus Christ was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8(NASB)

And that by faith the men of old, though they did not receive what was promised, Hebrews 11:39(NASB) gained approval; Hebrews 11:2(NASB) for they obtained the testimony that they were righteous. Hebrews 11:4(NASB)

I bless You for the promise made to Abraham, that in his seed all the families of the earth would be blessed; Genesis 12:3(NASB) and to Jacob, that the Shiloh would come, and to Him would be the obedience of the peoples; Genesis 49:10(NASB) and that the Patriarchs rejoiced to see Christ’s day, and they saw it and were glad. John 8:56(NASB)

For the appointing of the Redeemer and God’s gracious condescension to deal with men upon new terms, receding from the demands of the broken covenant of innocency.

I bless You that when sacrifice and offering You did not desire, and in them took no pleasure, that then the eternal Son of God said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God, and a body You have prepared for me.” Hebrews 10:5-7(NASB) And that, as in the scroll of the book it was written of Him, He did delight to do Your will, O God; yes, Your law was within His heart. Psalm 40:7-8(NASB)

You have given help to One who is mighty, One chosen from the people: You have found David Your servant, with Your holy oil You have anointed Him, Psalm 89:19-20(NASB) even with the oil of joy above His fellows, Psalm 45:7(NASB) and did promise that with Him Your hand should be established and Your arm should strengthen Him, Psalm 89:21(NASB) and that You would make Him Your firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. Psalm 89:27(NASB)

I bless You that now not even the Father judges anyone, but has given all judgment to the Son; John 5:22(NASB) that just as He has life in Himself, even so He has given to the Son also to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man; John 5:26-27(NASB) that the Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand; John 3:35(NASB) and that the counsel of peace is between them both. Zechariah 6:13(NASB)

That He is Your servant, whom You uphold; Your chosen One in whom Your soul delights; Isaiah 42:1(NASB) Your beloved Son, with whom You are well-pleased; Matthew 17:5(NASB) that You have given Him for a covenant of the people; Isaiah 49:8(NASB) and that through Him I am not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14(NASB)

That God so loved the world, as to give His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16(NASB)
